Job description
Hub between field and factory – support of potato suppliers with full personal responsibility
- You will be the main contact person for your contract farmers all year round and look after them in all aspects of potato cultivation.
- You conclude cultivation contracts with your growers and, if necessary, take care of the purchase of additional quantities of potatoes.
- Together with the farmers, you will select suitable potato varieties and coordinate the delivery of the seedlings.
- You will monitor the quality of the stocks and provide expert advice during cultivation and storage.
- During the harvest season, you will coordinate the smooth transport of potatoes from the field to the Lamb Weston plants.
- You document all relevant data and processes.
Profile
Independent, entrepreneurially minded agricultural professional with strong communication skills and organizational talent.
Must Haves
- Professional qualification: Completed training or studies in the agricultural sector, ideally with a focus on plant or potato cultivation.
- Professional experience: Several years of practical experience in agricultural field service, ideally in the support of farmers and in contract management.
- Practical know-how: In-depth knowledge of modern arable farming, especially potato cultivation, as well as experience in dealing with cultivation contracts and quality management.
- International communication: Good knowledge of English or Dutch for exchange in an international team.
